What does it involve

An immersion by train in the oldest winery in Spain: descend to its 30km of underground galleries, that will be visit with an electrical train, learn the secrets of the creator of the cava (sparkling wine) and discover the history of this company.

The visits are always guided by Codorníu staff and their duration is approximately one hour and 15 minuts.

  • An overview of the company's rich history dating back to 1551.
  • Modernist Tour: Explore the architectural work of Josep Puig i Cadafalch, declared a Historical-Artistic Monument in 1976.

  • Discover the beauty of the Codorniu winery gardens,
  • Detailed explanations about the cava production process.
  • A descent into the subterranean historical caves, which date back to the end of the 19th century and a guided tour on a train through the vast cavas.

Winery shop open to the public from Monday to Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and on Sundays and public holidays from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
