The most traditional gastronomic festival is once again held on the Rambla with a variety of activities.

On the weekend of March 4 and 5, Vendrell will celebrate the 37th Popular Xatonada, with the distribution of more than 1,000 portions of the xató “covat” from Vendrell, a new edition of the "mestres xatonaires" contest and the exhibition of " children's xatonaires" with the workshop "Learn to make xató" 🥗

Guided tour of the bell tower of the church of Santa Maria. We climb the highest building in Vilafranca, built in the 14th century, and discover the stories hidden inside.

As we go up the spiral staircase, built inside the walls, we learn about the bells, the clocks, the original weathervane angel and how the monks in charge of guarding the church of Santa Maria used to live.

Learn how to prepare xató on the Rambla.
Are you between 5 and 12 years old? Do you like cooking and challenges? Do not miss the opportunity to make your own xató, so you can also do it at home afterwards!

Two workshops will be held. Prior registration is required.
The organization will provide all the ingredients to make the sauce and all participants will receive a free mortar, pestle and an apron.
 

In the museum space there is an audiovisual installation of local eye-witness accounts and a permanent exhibition of objects found in various fortifications and collections of written press materials from the period.

The visit lasts 45 minutes. The CIUDEB offers two guided tours through the forest to visit the nearest trenches and machine gun hideouts. The guided tours are dramatized by the same local historians who have documented the findings to date.

Characters such as the pilgrim, the innkeeper or the Lords of Corbera will be taken to the medieval town, visiting the historic center of Corbera. We will travel to the past to discover how they lived, what they did and what were the concerns of the local people from five hundred years ago. An itinerant performance where we will discover stories and secrets of the town by the hands of the ancestors of Corbera.

Enjoys a family activity and through a route discovers the natural place of Parc dels Talls.

The activity will consist of a guided route from the Town Hall Square to the Talls Park, going through the natural environment to cdiscover the Pèlags de Vilobí and we will be able to observe the chalk in the rock and in crystals.

All the discoveries we make will be noted in a hadnmade notebook made at the beginning of the activity, so that we can collect all the knowledge acquired during the visit.

The Last Defence of Barcelona Tour was created as a result of the discovery of various fortifications: trenches, machine gun hideouts, shelters, bomb craters, observation points.

The guided tour starts in the centre of El Pago from where we enter the forest to visit the trenches and the nearest machine gun hideouts. On the way back we visit the Interpretive Centre.
