On Saturday, June 18, the Aplec Sardanista returns, organized by the Grup Sardanista Petúnies i Gladiols. It will take place in the Plaza del U de Octubre -and, in case of rain, in the Sports Center-. As usual, the day after the Aplec the Universal Sardana Day is celebrated, designed to create a feeling of brotherhood and unity among all sardana fans.
Sant Joan Samorà will celebrate the Roser Festival on Sunday 8 May. At 12 noon there will be a mass and procession in the Hermitage, where the garlands will be blessed, as tradition dictates. At the end, these sweets will be distributed to attendees, accompanied by jugs of vermouth, wine, rancid wine, muscat and cava. All this drinking is thanks to the collaboration of Celler Agro Eco Samora, Celler Finca Parera and Bodega Sant Joannes. Then there will be habaneras with the group La Barca Mitjana.
From vine to is a unique experience to learn more about the grape varieties and enjoy the vineyard during this amazing time, the harvest. Walking among the vineyards and as a game, you will have the opportunity to discover all the peculiarities of each type of grape. You will be able to taste, smell and touch them directly from the vine!
There will also be a visit to the cellar to know the vinification and ageing area of our most valued wines. The day will end with a tasting of 4 types of grapes, comparing them with wines made from the same varieties.
The activity will consist of a theoretical part and a practical tasting part. We will start the activity with an introduction on the origins and history of Whisky where we will explain the different types of whisky that we can find on the market.

28th and 30th June and 5th,7th,12th,14th and 21th July, 8 chefs from different restaurants of Catalonia, will cook different dishes. These dinners are included in the Corpinnat Gastronomy Festival 2022.

This year, we want to visit the vineyards and the cava and taste 2 Guarda Superior cavas that have recently obtained more than 90 Peñín points.
-The tastings will be accompanied by a light aperitif. The activity is free.
On July 22 at 10 pm, Ricard Garcia, Hortonenc poet, will coordinate “D'Hortons. Poetes en la Bassa Gran”: A poetry recital that, for the fifth year, is taking place in this emblematic location of Sant Llorenç de Hortons, which in the past had served as a meeting point for women who went to do the laundry (it is still preserves the public laundry room) and, also, who was going to fill the jugs with fresh water and talk about what was cooking in the town. The fountain is located just at the end of the town and is a kind of border between the urban area and the natural environment.
With this visit we will delve into the life, customs and leisure of the Catalan industrial bourgeoisie.
Peñafort Castle, which had functioned as a convent for two centuries, ended its monastic life in 1836. After Mendizábal's disentailment, industrialist Miquel Puig, founder of Colonia Sedó de Esparraguera, became the new owner of the estate. .
