On Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 8:00 p.m., Codorníu, in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, will host one of Europe’s finest Dire Straits tribute bands as part of the Musicveu Solidarity Festival programme.

Musicveu will once again come alive with the great classics of international rock thanks to the performance of Brothers in Band, regarded by both audiences and critics as one of the finest Dire Straits tribute bands today. The concert will take place on June 13, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. in the iconic setting of Codorníu.
With their show “The Very Best of Dire Straits Show”, Brothers in Band has successfully toured venues across Spain, Germany, France, Portugal, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, the United Kingdom, Andorra, and several South American countries, establishing itself as an international benchmark in tributes to the legendary British band.
The concert offers a musical journey through the different stages of Dire Straits, the band formed by Mark Knopfler, David Knopfler, John Illsley, and Pick Withers. The repertoire traces the band's history from its beginnings in 1977 through to its breakup in the early 1990s.
The audience will be able to relive essential songs such as “Sultans of Swing”, “Money for Nothing”, “Romeo & Juliet”, “Telegraph Road”, “Tunnel of Love”, and “Lady Writer”, as well as other gems from the Dire Straits catalogue including “Down to the Waterline”, “Why Worry”, “News”, “One World”, and “It Never Rains”.
One of the keys to Brothers in Band’s success is the performance of Angelo Fumarola, whose remarkable vocal and musical resemblance to Mark Knopfler is truly outstanding. His expressiveness, technical skill, and guitar playing style transport audiences back to the golden era of Dire Straits.
