El jaciment paleontològic dels Casots (Subirats) va ser descobert al 1989 i declarat Bé Cultural d’Interès Nacional el 1995. Es va excavar a la dècada de 1990 i després d’uns anys sense activitat des de 2019 s’hi duen a terme campanyes anuals d’excavacions a l’estiu.

És considerat un dels jaciments del Miocè més importants d’Europa i s’hi han trobat milers de fòssils corresponents a més de 70 espècies diferents, algunes de noves per la ciència.

El jaciment es pot visitar a les jornades de portes obertes coincidint amb el període d’excavacions o bé en visita concertada.

The medieval town of Torre-ramona, with only around fifty inhabitants, can be visited through the surprising and mysterious Torre-ramona guided route.
